The Office of the Commissioner of Communications – Digital Security Authority (DSA), in collaboration with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), successfully organized the specialized training course “Cyber Incident Responder”, held at the ICT Academy – Office of the Commissioner of Communications, from June 17 to 20, 2025.
The course brought together participants from five different countries, including both civilian and military personnel from EU Member States, EU institutions, and agencies. The participants were professionals either already involved in cyber incident response or seeking to enhance their expertise in the field.
The training included both theoretical sessions and hands-on exercises, focusing on the application of knowledge to realistic, simulated cyberattack scenarios. The objective was to equip participants with critical skills to analyze, assess, and mitigate the impact of cybersecurity incidents, as well as to identify root causes and track malicious actors responsible for such threats.
Throughout the course, participants also shared insights and best practices concerning the operation of Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs), promoting cross-border collaboration and capacity building within the EU cybersecurity ecosystem.
