The Office of the Commissioner of Electronic Communications – Digital Security Authority was selected, in coordination with ENISA, to participate in the First Pilot Peer Review under the NIS2 Directive. This is a collective initiative aimed at strengthening cybersecurity resilience through the exchange of best practices, transparency, and mutual trust.
In this pilot NIS2 peer review, Cyprus participates as the learner peer, while Greece, Italy, and Luxembourg act as reviewer peers. ENISA and the European Commission are involved as observers, ensuring coordination and support throughout the process.
The first onsite workshop was hosted in Cyprus at the Office of the Commissioner of Electronic Communications – ICT Academy on 29–30 October, marking a significant milestone in the implementation of the pilot peer review initiative.
Peer reviews contribute to the development of reliable and equivalent procedures, fostering trust and mutual recognition among EU Member States. The workshop also served as a valuable learning experience, encouraging participants to learn from each other through open dialogue and the exchange of best practices.
